TV Smash - Email Alerts For your Favourite Programmes
Want to know whenever your favourite band or football team are on TV? Maybe you want
to be told when the 74th Series of "Lost" is being shown or "Harry Potter & The Half-Blood
Prince" hits the small screen? Then TV Smash is what you need!
Set up an alert for any TV programme, film, actor or presenter, football team, band or
singer...any name, word or phrase you like in fact. TV Smash will email you up to 7 days in
advance when a matching programme appears in the TV listings. Set it and forget it!
Please note this is a prototype Beta service. It should all work well, but it's a bit of an experiment at this stage. Feel free to try it out, just note the following:
By using the TV Smash service for free UK TV listings alerts you accept that the service is provided "as is". It's a personal project and while I have made every effort to ensure the information is correct, it's possible the odd glitch may occur from time to time.
Some channels protect their programme listings data via BDS which forbids sites like mine from publishing their TV guide. Consequently, some channel listings cannot be displayed on the website.
Your email address will only be used for programme alerts and occasional information relating to changes, performance and upgrades to the TV Smash site and will not be passed to any third party without your prior consent. Your email address needs to be stored on the server to send your alerts and by creating alerts you accept that I cannot take responsibility for any malicious or accidental action and consequent leakage of data.
Any user found to be using the site in a malicious, criminal, unethical or inappropriate way, as deemed by me(!), may find that their account is deleted and access to the site and TV listings is blocked.
The TV Smash service currently uses tv listings from channels that broadcast in the UK and N. Ireland only. The service is currently free but should it become popular and require more resources, it may become necessary to implement an opt-in charging structure. In this event, I will endeavour to try and ensure that all existing users are still able to receive a certain amount of alerts free of charge.
That's all ;) ... Ian.
